Michael Cooper is a British furniture designer and fine woodworker, specialising in contemporary furniture and timber structures. He designs and crafts pieces from his studio workshop in West Somerset, England.
Working to commission he creates bespoke tables, chairs, benches, stools, cabinets and much more. He also designs and builds beautiful, locally harvested and highly sustainable green oak structures crafted to stand the test of time.
Since graduating in Fine Woodwork and Furniture Making from the Building Crafts College in 2018, he has been involved in a wide array of projects, ranging from work for “the father of British furniture” John Makepeace OBE, as well as building traditional timber stuctures, and setting up his studio workshop practise in Somerset, England.
“We are grateful for the meticulous help of Michael on a recent commission. He is an exceptionally talented individual.”
John Makepeace
